Today I released 3 new skin design. Go Fly (developed since December), Go Stitch, and Go Destroy. That means we have 13 skin design. A perfect number to start 2013.

We also have minor update for Genbu Theme to version 3.0.1. a slightly bigger update in coming soon. You all can update directly from admin panel.

We also have 2 New Plugins: Genbu Query Widgets, and Genbu Manga Reader.

Genbu Query Widgets is total solution plugin for querying your content, It works just like Genbu Post Template Widget, but alot more powerful.

Genbu Manga Reader is a plugin to create manga sites. You can easily create a manga site with this plugin.

in less than a week, we already release 3 new Skin Design: Go Journal Blue, Go Regime, and Go Cycle. we also have new skin design on development stage Go Fly. And it feel great. I’ll continue this rapid design and see how it goes.

Genbu now have automatic update feature, just like theme and plugin hosted on WordPress.org.

Having to manually update is a pain for me, and as a good web developer, i always wants to be up to date. If a bug found the problem can be fixed across all sites quicker.

If WordPress.org does automatic update for free downloads, i should too.

Genbu Theme Gets a new look, as requested by members, Genbu Theme gets a new fresh look.

I decided to create a new system for Genbu Theme. From this version, i will not create a child theme to extend styling for Genbu Theme. Some might say it’s more complicated, but after working with this new system, i think it’s the best way. And this is why:

1. Upgradability: sometimes, when i use Genbu Theme, i need to modify the style from of the child theme i use. With Skin Plugin i can safely update the style and leave my customization in my child theme. All skin plugin also have automatic update.
2. Easier to Switch Style: in WordPress whenever i switch to new child theme, i need to re-assign custom menus and widgets.
3. Customizer friendly: You can select skins from wp customizer.

All child theme have been transfered to Skin Plugin + 2 New Skin: Go Origin and Go Statement.

• Final testing after WordPress 3.5 release.
• Add more Documentation.
• More Skin Plugin: target 1 skin/week.

Genbu now powered with Hybrid Core, a very powerful theme development framework by Theme Hybrid (Justin Tadlock).

this is big improvement in code quality and flexibility of the theme.

I heard the key to happiness with what you do for a living is to find the one thing you’d do for free. Designing themes is my thing. I know this because I’ve done it for free.

Actually, I create this header design for one of my Amazon affiliate site, it’s simple and basic and not too flashy, i use Genbu Theme with gallery blog style and full width layout, and it look cool.

I create a lot of sites to monetize with adsense, and sometimes amazon affiliate.  Genbu is powerfull, flexible, easy to customize, user friendly, and easy to style. I create this so i can use it for all my site, and each still have unique design.
